DEIF’s WSS 550 offers you consistent and reliable performance without significant maintenance costs because this ultrasonic wind sensor has no moving parts. The WSS 550 is marine approved and has an IP66 enclosure and a built-in heater to prevent icing and condensation. Also, this wind sensor is specially designed for easy installation and combination with DEIF’s XDi-N indicator.

The DEIF ultrasonic WSS 750 wind sensor has an extended range. Like the WSS 550, the WSS 750 has no moving parts that can cause wear problems typical for cup- and vane-type anemometers. This ensures consistent and reliable performance without significant maintenance costs. Marine approved, with an IP67 rating, stainless steel construction and a separately powered heater to prevent icing, the WSS 750 is an extremely rugged solution for heavy marine wind measurement applications such as Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems.
